MyMovies.Net Update
Hey
all you film loving, movie worshipping readers out there. I come before you a
boy who has just completed the trials and tribulations that a week's work
experience with the MyMovies team brings. . . . and yet they're still letting me
loose on their blog, a horrible mistake? I can tell you it differed hugely from
your typical monotonous week that most kids my age endure as a matter of
necessity; I would gladly work here all summer given the chance, madness? I can
tell you right now it was an experience I shall never forget, whether that’s for
the right reasons or not I have yet to decide!
And now onto more pressing movie related matters:
The week started with the general yet surprising hub bub of "Donkey
Punch" and before all you sado-masochists out there get a bit too
excited it's the title of choice for director Olly Blackburn's latest
contribution to the world of film. The interview MyMovies had with the cast was
'different' to say the least with more surreal moments than you can shake a
stick at!
In
other films news we see the comical capers of "Wall-E"
hitting our screen, this tin man will bring that warm fuzzy feeling to you that
some films just can't deliver, truly a film not to miss.
This
week the much-anticipated Batman- "The
Dark Knight" will be released. This long awaited film is set not to
disappoint with Christian Bale leading Batman into the unknown, or more
specifically into the clutches of notorious Joker (Heath Ledger). Heath
contributes that hair-raising menace the part so desperately needed, has batman
met his match!
All in all I can say that here at MyMovies.Net they really do everything in
there power to try to satiate your thirst for film knowledge, entertaining you
at every corner, from hilarious anecdotes to fully fledged interviews and yeah
in the process they seem to have a good time too. I myself have had a great
experience, learnt allot about the industry and managed to look at some truly
kick-ass movies and for a teen boy what more can you really ask for.

MyMovies.Net Update
Hahahaha!
It looks like I've ensnared you yet again! Well, that will learn ya! The
Interweb is full of troublesome foibles and one such chink in the information
super highway's armour is no doubt this little Blog of movie geekiness. Yes,
we're all about the film frolics here so let's get down to some movie action...
First up, and hitting up our screens like a drunken,
bullet-proof, avenger is the err drunken bullet-poof anvenger that is "Hancock".
Will Smith, AKA the
Fresh Prince, is giving it tons in this cocophony of bombast and
gentler character moments. It's another sterling effort from Smith, much like
his turn in "I Am Legend", but, like that film too, things seem to take a turn
for the worse at the mid point and suddenly we're stuck in canon-fodder popcorn
fare. Whatever you do though don't repeat such sentiment to director Peter Berg
who is in fact madder than a March Hare and twice as dangerous!
Here he is now doing a bang up job of initimidating me to an inch of
my life!!!
So
from the rough to the angelically smooth now as we beat a hasty retreat from Mr.
Berg and catch up with
Lucy Liu who this week is lighting up our screens as a kung
fu-fighting Viper in the CG 'toon "Kung
Fu Panda". A little departure for the former member of the Deadly
Viper Assassination Squad ("Kill Bill"), but it looks as if Liu is keeping up
her snake fetish under the cover of this family friendly effort.
If
a boozed up
Fresh Prince doesn't quite do it for you, and a "Kung
Fu Panda" seems a little too cutesy for your tastes, then there's
always a bunch of fog-shrouded beasties to contend with in "The
Mist". Frank Darabont returns to the Stephen King fold here and this
time ventures into unseen horror waters with a film that delivers on just about
every level! As this unnerving clip attests.
Well, I'm off to interrogate some more of Hollywood's finest but before I go I
shall leave you with another new look at this month's eagerly awaited "The
Dark Knight". I actually couldn't be more excited this film if I
tried! The countdown begins now!
