Despite "Ocean‘s Eleven" follow–up "Ocean‘s Twelve" receiving less than glowing reviews, it looks like Warner Bros. Pictures and producer Jerry Weintraub are ready to gamble on a second sequel. Movie industry bible Variety has confirmed that – yes, you guessed the name – "Ocean‘s Thirteen" is to begin production on July 21.

And while (deep breath) George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia, Don Cheadle, Bernie Mac, Casey Affleck, Scott Caan, Eddie Jemison, Shaobo Qin, Carl Reiner and Elliott Gould will all be returning, we won‘t be seeing Julia Roberts or Catherine Zeta–Jones this time around. Instead Ellen Barkin will be the leading lady and her character will be getting closely involved with Matt Damon‘s.

"Rounders" screenwriters Brian Koppelman and David Levien have penned "Thirteen‘s" script. Director Stephen Soderbergh has yet to sign on the dotted line, but nevertheless you can expect the movie to reach your local multiplex some time in the summer of 2007.
