Regarded by many horror fans as his best work to date, Wes Craven‘s second genre feature, "The Hills Have Eyes" is an acknowledged classic of shock cinema. Recently retired from the Cleveland police force, Big Bob Carter decides to head off in his motor–home for a Californian vacation with his wife, Ethel, their son and two daughters, son–in–law, infant grandchild and their two dogs. En route they decide to make a detour to find an abandoned silver mine in the Nevada desert but unknown to them, the area is also home to a family of primitive, cannibalistic scavengers who have been watching the travellers.
